Big Brother Naija Season 11 has ended with 21-year-old Temitope Chigbue, better known as Temi Nkem, taking the ultimate prize after surviving weeks of competition, nominations, evictions and house drama.

The Lagos-based student beat a field of finalists that included some of the season's biggest personalities to become the latest winner of Nigeria's hugely popular reality television franchise.

Temi's victory brings the curtain down on the 2026 edition of the show, which was built around the theme “Show Ya Sef” and began with 24 strangers entering Biggie's House with one common ambition — to remain in the game long enough to claim the crown.

By the time the finale arrived, only a handful of contestants remained standing. Among those who made the final stretch were Amyr Yousufzai, popularly known as Aikou; Faith Gamde (Sheba); Joshua Alekewumu (Tram); Keren Bantai (Bluethopia); Patrick Jumbo (Ricky); Muudumbari Pop-Yornwin (Barry); Oyindamola Oshikoya (Oyin) and Flora Egbedi (Flora).

For Temi, the journey represented more than simply surviving weekly evictions. Before entering the house, she presented herself as a confident young woman who was energetic, outspoken and difficult to overlook. She also highlighted her ability to listen and offer advice — qualities that became part of the personality she brought into the competition.

The season started with 12 male and 12 female contestants drawn from different backgrounds across Nigeria. What followed was a constantly changing contest in which friendships, rivalries, nominations, task performances and viewers' decisions repeatedly changed the balance of power inside the house.

Mercedes and Martins were the first to leave, setting the tone for a season in which no housemate could afford to become complacent.

As the weeks rolled on, more contestants disappeared from the competition until Yusuf, Bells and Chimsom Chuka became the final housemates evicted before the decisive stage.

But not every exit was the result of viewers' votes. The season also produced disciplinary controversies, with Keivo removed after a physical confrontation involving Tram, while Nomy's repeated refusal to comply with Biggie's instructions eventually ended her time in the house.

Those incidents continued a long-running BBNaija tradition in which contestants have occasionally seen their hopes of winning the grand prize disappear because of breaches of the show's rules.

Previous seasons have witnessed high-profile disqualifications involving personalities such as Tacha, Erica Nlewedim, Beauty Tukura, Kemen, Khloe and K-Brule, among others. Their departures remain some of the most memorable moments in the programme's history.

The stakes were particularly high this season, with the eventual champion set to receive a ₦160 million grand prize, making every nomination, task and eviction increasingly consequential as the competition narrowed.

For the 21-year-old Temi, however, the final result turned weeks of uncertainty into the biggest victory of her young career.

She now joins the exclusive list of housemates who have transformed their time inside Biggie's House into a championship title, taking the Season 11 crown after outlasting the majority of the contestants who began the journey alongside her.

The “Show Ya Sef” season may be over, but Temi Nkem's emergence as champion is likely to mark the beginning of an entirely new chapter for the young Lagos student — this time outside the walls of Biggie's House.
