Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has assured the people of Mashi Local Government Area of continued government attention, saying his administration will sustain interventions based on identified needs and available resources.
Governor Radda gave the assurance on Tuesday when stakeholders from Mashi Local Government Area paid a courtesy visit to him at Government House, Katsina, to appreciate his administration for development projects being executed in the area.
Governor Radda thanked the delegation for the visit and for recognising the efforts of his administration in addressing infrastructure and other development needs across the state.
He said the government remained committed to extending development to communities across Katsina State based on identified needs, available resources and the overall priorities of the state.
"Mashi deserves continued government attention. We will continue to assess the needs of the area and ensure that projects are implemented according to priorities and the resources available to government," he said.
Speaking on the ongoing projects, Governor Radda said the dual carriageways and the expansion and modernisation of Mashi Market were designed to improve infrastructure while creating better conditions for residents, traders and other road users.
"The dual carriageways will ease movement and improve traffic flow within Mashi, while the expansion and modernisation of the market will provide a more organised and conducive environment for traders and strengthen commercial activities in the area," he said.
The Governor assured the stakeholders that the concerns and requests presented during the visit would receive the attention of the government, stressing that his administration would continue to engage communities and prioritise projects with direct impact on the lives and livelihoods of citizens.
"Our responsibility is to listen to our people and respond to their genuine needs. We will continue to work with communities and relevant stakeholders to address developmental challenges and ensure that available resources are deployed responsibly to areas of greatest need," Governor Radda said.
