Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, bringing a decade-long relationship to a new chapter in a private ceremony held in Portugal.

The intimate civil wedding took place at Ronaldo’s luxury residence in Quinta da Marinha, an exclusive area in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon. The ceremony was attended by the couple’s five children and close family members.

News of the marriage emerged after Ronaldo shared a photograph on his social media platforms showing the couple’s wedding rings. Accompanying the image was a simple but heartfelt caption: “C ❤️ G,” confirming that the pair had officially tied the knot.

The wedding comes exactly one year after Ronaldo and Rodriguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025. Their relationship, which began more than a decade ago, has remained one of football’s most closely followed love stories.

Earlier this year, Ronaldo had indicated that he was in no hurry to get married. However, following Portugal’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the football star reportedly signaled his intention to formalise his relationship with Rodriguez, whom he met while she was working as a sales assistant at a luxury Gucci store.
