PRESS RELEASE

…We Have Delivered Over 70% of Our Promises — Dangiwa Tells APC Campaign Council

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has inaugurated the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, charging APC leaders, elected officials, political appointees and candidates to prioritise unity, reconciliation and grassroots mobilisation across the 34 LGAs and 361 wards.

Inaugurating the Council at the new APC State Headquarters, Katsina, Governor Radda, who chairs the Council, said electoral success in 2027 will depend on collective responsibility, effective coordination and sustained grassroots work from polling units to the state level.

"I sincerely appreciate the support you have continued to give this administration. I urge you to sustain this spirit of unity and commitment for our great party, the APC," he said.

The Governor described Katsina's relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as longstanding, noting the President's commitment to the state's development through federal engagements and appointments.

He called on members to work for President Tinubu's re-election and for APC victory in the governorship, Senate, House of Representatives and State Assembly.

"As human beings, we must be willing to acknowledge our shortcomings, listen to one another and seek reconciliation whenever necessary," he said.

“We must return to our communities and seek the understanding, cooperation and support of our people. We should approach this task with humility, as though we are seeking their votes for the first time. We must not take the support of the electorate for granted,” the governor added.

Governor Radda commended former aspirants who have agreed to work together after the primaries and urged National Assembly members, political office holders and candidates to return to their constituencies, engage constituents and reconcile with anyone they may have offended.

He urged candidates to take personal responsibility for grassroots mobilisation and warned against taking previous support for granted.

The Director-General of the Campaign Council, Arch. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, thanked Governor Radda and APC leaders for the confidence reposed in him. He recalled leading the 2023 campaign where APC secured all 3 senatorial seats, 13 of 15 House of Reps seats, 33 of 34 Assembly seats and the governorship.

He said the new campaign will build on that record with greater consultation, coordination and grassroots participation, with reconciliation and party unity as foundation.

Also speaking, Deputy Director-General Operations and Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, outlined the organisational structure and announced that campaigns will kick off on October 28, 2026.

He said mobilisation will be strengthened at polling-unit, ward and LGA levels, with polling-unit representatives expanded from 9 to 30 with at least 10 women per unit.

Hon. Nasir furthered that verification of representatives is ongoing and the structure will incorporate elected officials, party leaders, business community, religious leaders, youth groups and other stakeholders while zonal tours will start from Funtua, Daura and Katsina respectively.

In the same vein, APC State Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Council, Hon. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, described the inauguration as significant and commended Governor Radda for sustaining unity. He noted ongoing preparations including primary processes and INEC clearance of candidates.

Co-Chairman of the Council and former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, assured Governor Radda of Daura Zone stakeholders' continued support and called for unity and coordinated mobilisation.

Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism and Grand Patron of the Council, Hannatu Musa Musawa, pledged Funtua Zone's support for President Tinubu and Governor Radda and commended the Governor for retaining Dangiwa as DG.

Co-Chairman III of the Council, Dr.Mustapha Inuwa, urged leaders to strengthen mobilisation through LGA and ward structures and emphasised effective coordination and collective commitment.

Representing lawmakers, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, Senator Muntari Mohammed Dandutse and Speaker Nasir Yahaya Daura pledged support for the campaign, emphasising grassroots mobilisation and communication of APC achievements to voters.
